Meet Dr. Madeline Taskier

Born in Washington, DC, Madeline Taskier completed her undergraduate studies at Tufts University in Medford, MA. She spent four years working in global women’s health for an international non-profit and then went on to manage a global reproductive health program at the University of Michigan Medical School.

She graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC where served as the director of the student-run free clinic and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Society. In 2022, she completed her residency training in family and community medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She returned to DC in 2022 to complete a health policy fellowship at George Washington University and the American Board of Family Medicine where she practiced primary care at with GW Medical Faculty Associates (GW MFA).

Most recently Dr. Taskier has served as core residency faculty in the National Family Medicine Residency at Unity Health Care, the largest federally qualified health center in Washington, DC. At Unity she practiced full-spectrum primary care and served as medical director for Unity’s family planning and Title X program. Dr. Taskier is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at George Washington University School of Medicine teaching medical students in their primary care third year clerkship.

During her medical training Dr. Taskier realized that her true passion is getting to know her patients and their families. She believes that the best medical care is built upon trusted relationships where she can collaborate with her patients to meet their life goals. Coming from a public health and policy background, Dr. Taskier has a strong understanding of where the healthcare system fails us and how frustrating it can be to navigate. She balances evidenced-based medicine with meeting the needs and goals of her patients so that they can live their fullest lives. She is dedicated to providing the highest quality primary care across the life spectrum with special focus on sexual and reproductive health, women’s health, and gender affirming care.

Madeline lives in Silver Spring, MD with her husband and daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking for her family and friends, hiking on local trails with her dog, and reading really good books.
