Today’s Washington Post has an article about how people are managing Long COVID by simply reducing their daily activities by “pacing” themselves.
According to the article:
Pacing is an “activity management” strategy, which requires people to carefully limit their daily activities, reduce their energy expenditure and track their symptoms.
While pacing may be a good idea for patients intially diagnosed with Long COVID, or other conditions such as chronic fatigue, the article implies that this is the only way. While there is no known cure for Long COVID, there are treatments that can improve symptoms of Long COVID so that patients don’t have to pace themselves for the rest of their lives. Treatments are varied, but are often natural therapeis as opposed to prescription medications.
