I was recently interviewed by SeniorAdvisor.com, which is a blog for senior citizens. They asked me about “andropause”, which is what some say is the male equivalent of menopause.
Unlike women, most men don’t have any noticeable symptoms as there testosterone levels decline with age. However, some men can have decreased energy and libido significant enough to warrant treatment. Treatment is effective, but there is some increased risk of heart attacks, so it shouldn’t be used without weighing the risks and benefits carefully.
